About US
The Nose Creek Softball Association (NCSA)/Nose Creek Fastpitch is District 7 of the Calgary Minor Softball Association. We are one of the largest districts in Calgary, covering the most land area, and also housing the greatest number of young athletes. In 2012, we had over 200 athletes registered in our program, and are constantly looking to improve and expand on these numbers. NCSA provides softball/fastpitch programs for girls from age 4 to 18*, and boys from age 4 to 11*. Boys age 12 to 15* (U14 & U16) progress to the Young Men's Fastpitch League (YMFL).
*age as of December 31 of the previous year With the city wide move to districts (from communities) NCSA Fastpitch became an official association in June of 2006. All of our bylaws, association rules, and meetings are open to the membership. We are a non-profit organization run entirely by dedicated volunteers. Our volunteers have been involved with fastpitch/softball/baseball at all levels within the City of Calgary for many years. Our primary objective is to provide a fun, safe, and educational youth fastpitch/softball program with an emphasis on team work and skill development. Our organization offers softball programs for girls and boys from age 4 to 18. We divide our program into a district contained learn-to-play (LTP) program; and regular city wide Mite to Midget. This means that LTP play only within the district where as the Mite to Midget teams will play within and outside of our district (but within the Calgary area). In 2013, older boys (Pee Wee & Bantam) will register through Calgary Minor Softball Association to form teams consisting of athletes from the City of Calgary and area, this program is called YMFL (Young Men's Fastpitch League). We host a number of fastpitch/softball related events and activities starting in January and running as late as July each year, with the actual season running from the beginning of April (starting with indoor clinics for teams) until the end of June for U10/Mite to U14/Pee Wee, and beginning of July for U16/Bantam & U19/Midget. The season runs from the end of April to end of June for Learn To Play.
